Twenty years ago, Sean William Randall left a career in architecture to pursue painting full-time. His studio practice is largely influenced by the architectural mark periods of rapid growth have left on the Canadian prairie landscape. With a clean application of paint and high levels of contrast, Randall captures the beautiful and yet eerier man made stillness of the cityscape. Quiet and contemplative, Randall’s paintings refute the flatness of the canvas and often capture a strong sense of nostalgia. He currently lives and paints in Regina, SK.
